Legacy of Mendel

  This is the capstone project for my master degree. This is a game that combines elements of tower defense, strategy, RPG and science, and is set in a parallel universe to our own. Monster and Defender Design 

As the project starts it's exactly the time when Palworld became hot, so we designed our monsters and defenders in reference of the creatures in the game, and we add different organs to a basic Slime to make their genes recognizable:


Narrative Design 

  In this parallel universe, our main character, Aiden, located at the Royal Institute of Biology, is a young student aspiring to become a geneticist. His teacher, Professor Mendel, is a pioneer in genetics, but in this world, his research centers not on plants, but on mysterious and unknown monsters.   Prof. Mendel has developed a method for studying monster genes that can reveal their genetic characteristics and how they can be used to create new, new creatures.   Now, as recipients of Mendel's legacy, Episcopalians are tasked with protecting the research and using it to fight the forces of evil that want to misuse this knowledge. And to use it against the forces of evil that would abuse that knowledge. By collecting genetic samples of monsters and utilizing Mendel's knowledge of genetics, he must create a formidable army of monsters to prevent these evils from taking over. team to prevent these evil forces from destroying the world. In the process, Aiden learns a lot from Mendel's notes about life, genetics and evolution. He understands the diversity and complexity of life and is fascinated by its beauty and wonder.
  In the end, using the skills and knowledge left behind by his teacher, he successfully fends off the monsters and holds on until the protective net is repaired. He finally realizes that Mendel's legacy is not only a notebook or a pile of knowledge, but also a respect for life and the pursuit of knowledge.
